Now, let me explain first, what each column in the image above stands for:
- AVG: it gives you the number of monthly searches for that keyword phrase.
- Traffic: is the estimated traffic you can expect monthly for your keyword when ranking on the 1st page of Google.
- QSR (Quoted Search Results): is your competition for that keyword phrase. It gives you the number of competing websites ranked in Google for this exact keyword. The lower the score of your QSR, the better your chances are to rank on the 1st page of the major search engines.
- KQI (Keyword Quality Indicator): as the name suggests it measures the keyword quality and is based on a color system, where green indicates a great keyword, yellow stands for OK, and red indicates a poor keyword that you should at all costs avoid using.
- SEO: is a score ranging from 1 to 100. It is a metric that considers the traffic and competition for your keyword. Therefore, the higher the score, the more likely you will rank on the 1st page of the search engines.
- Domains: This is an awesome feature! It gives you the domain names available for a particular keyword phrase, making it super easy to buy that domain name if you want to. You just click the link and get redirected to a place called SiteDomains to complete your purchase of the domain name.
Now, if I go back to my example: ”best set of golf clubs for beginners”, this is a great keyword phrase. Why? Because you have a decent number of monthly searches (64) and traffic (11), the QSR (competition) is low at 33, and the SEO score is 93, which is excellent. So, if I were into the golf niche, I would most certainly use that keyword phrase for writing a post!
